The Vice Chancellor of Germany Sigmar Gabriel is expected in Athens on a two-day official visit. At 1pm on Thursday he will meet with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and will later be received by President Prokopis Pavlopoulos.

Later on in the afternoon, at 6:30pm, the German Vice Chancellor will meet with the Greek Government Vice President Yannis Dragasakis and on Friday he has arranged to meet with the head of the River Stavros Theodorakis.

In his official trip to Athens, Mr. Gabriel will be accompanied by a delegation of 40 German businesses that are already active in Greece. The aim, according to German government sources, is to offer further support to these businesses and their activities in Greece.
