The average tax payer in Greece will see his bill this year increased to 1,514 euros, up from 1,310 euros last year, according to a report in Ta Nea.
The newspaper report explains that this increase is based on the extra measures taken by the government, with the ENFIA bill also expected to come in the next few weeks.
Last year about 2.5 million tax payers were called to pay 3.295 billion euros, while this year about 2.2 million tax payers will be called to pay the same bill more or less – 3.293 billion euros.
The main culprits behind this hike are the government increasing the tax down payment for self employed, the abolition of the 30% on the solidarity tax.
