“Trips are nice, provide you are prepared for them and act a little responsible. I think that the government, lost in its post-win celebrations, did not estimate correctly how it should have taken advantage of this trip. We wasted a major opportunity and I hope it was not the last” commented the head of the River Stavros Theodorakis on the recent trip of PM Alexis Tsipras to the USA.

Mr. Theodorakis, who was speaking on the sidelines of a conference on growth that is being held in Thessaloniki, underlined that “it is nice tp talk to people from local government about growth” and argued that “the country will not rise up, unless it can offer to the people, unless we give local communities a role”.

Regarding the upcoming discussion ahead of the party’s conference, Mr. Theodorakis stated that “each conference starts from zero. It must elect a new leader, new bodies. The River’s standpoint is to change everything, not just in society, but also within the River. We are all temporary in a grand idea to improve the life of the people”.
