The European Commissioner for Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici argued that it was possible to change the terms of repayment in the loans given by the Eurozone to Greece, in an interview on France 2.

According to Reuters, the French Commissioner argued that the result of Sunday’s election shows that the Greek people support the agreement reached with Europe and the reforms.

When asked about debt relief, Mr. Moscovici responded that while possible there can be no “write off” of the debt’s nominal value.

The negotiations between Greece and its creditors are expected to carry on simultaneously with the first review of the Greek support program.

A Reuters report also claims that Eurozone officials are considering introducing a 15% of GDP ceiling on the annual loan repayments, as a debt relief solution.
