September 2015 Elections: Polls show SYRIZA win with 5pt lead over ND

The results of the final exit poll carried out by Kapa Research for To Vima show that SYRIZA is set to win the elections with a 5-point lead over New Democracy, while the Popular Union appears to fall short of the 3% requirement to enter Parliament:

According to the latest, final estimate of the exit polls, which were broadcast shortly after 20:00, the electoral results are expected as follows:

An earlier exit poll carried out by Kapa Research for To Vima SYRIZA is tipped to win the September 2015 elections, with a 2.5% lead over New Democracy. The exit poll shows Golden Dawn in third place, followed by The River, PASOK/DIMAR, KKE, Popular Union, the Independent Greeks and Union of Centrists.

As such, it appears that there will be either 8 or 9 parties in the new Parliament. This means that SYRIZA may have between 133 and 136 seats, meaning that it will have to form a coalition with other parties:

• SYRIZA – 133 to 136 seats
• New Democracy – 77 to 79 seats
• Golden Dawn – 18 to 19 seats
• PASOK/DIMAR – 17 to 18 seats
• KKE – 17 seats
• The River – 13 seats
• Independent Greeks – 9 seats
• Popular Union – 8 to 9 seats
• Union of Centrists- 0 to 8 seats

In the cross-channel exit poll carried out for five television networks by Alco, GPO, Marc, Metron Analysis and MRB, the results are as follows:

• SYRIZA – 30-34%
• New Democracy – 28.5-32.5%
• Golden Dawn – 6.5-8%
• The River – 4-5.5%
• PASOK/DIMAR – 5.5-7%
• KKE – 5.5-7%
• Independent Greeks – 3-4%
• Popular Union – 2.5-3.5%
• Union of Centrists – 3.2-4.2%
• Other party – 1.4-1.8%

The exit poll carried by the University of Macedonia for SKAI:

• SYRIZA – 31-35%
• New Democracy – 29-33%
• Golden Dawn – 6-8%
• The River – 3.5-5.5%
• PASOK/DIMAR – 5-7%
• KKE – 5-7%
• Independent Greeks – 2.5-4.5%
• Popular Union – 2.5-3.5%
• Union of Centrists – 2.5-4.5%
• Other party – 2-3%

In another exit poll broadcast by ACTION24, in conjunction with Pulse, the results are:

• SYRIZA – 29.5% – 34.5%
• New Democracy – 28.5% – 33.5%
• Golden Dawn – 5% – 8%
• PASOK/DIMAR – 5% – 8%
• KKE – 4.5% – 7.5%
• The River – 4.5% – 7.5%
• Independent Greeks – 1.5% – 4.5%
• Popular Union – 2% – 5%
• Union of Centrists – 2% – 5%
• Other party – 0.5% – 3.5%

The aforementioned results are based on 70% of the exit poll questionnaires and give a first impression of the electoral result. The final result will be broadcast at about 20:00.

The first safe estimate on the results of the September 2015 elections is expected between 21:00 and 21:30 by Singular Logic and the Ministry of Interior.
