The police announced that nine suspects have been arrested in relation to an organized assault with Molotov cocktail bombs against the police station in Exarchia on Thursday evening.
According to reports, a group of about 150 people approached the police station and threw Molotov cocktail bombs. They also set fire to garbage cans in surrounding streets. The police responded with tear gas and during the clashes that followed one officer was injured in the hand.
The assault against the police station in Exarchia came after an anarchist demonstration on occasion of the second anniversary of the murder of Pavlos Fyssas.
