The former HSBC bank officer Hervé Falciani has reportedly handed over a USB drive with the names and details of ten individuals to Greek prosecutors, during his meeting with them in the Greek embassy in Paris on Friday.

Reportedly the electronic data which the whistleblower passed on includes detailed information on off-shores and bank transactions related to specific individuals, in order to support his claims. The Greek prosecutors are willing to meet with Falciani – who is protected witness and in hiding – in another French city.

When To Vima recently spoke to Falciani the former HSBC officer stated that he wanted to help Greek authorities because he can see how they are willing to investigate everything and recognizes how difficult it will be for them to face up against a ‘tough system’.
