The Greek government is said to have urgently asked for a 7-billion-euro loan from the Eurozone, within the next 48 hours if possible, in order to cover overdue debts and loan payments, according to the Italian news agency ANSA.

The ANSA report, which cites European sources, notes that the request for the ‘bridge loan’ will be submitted by the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras himself at the European Summit in Brussels.
