The government Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs Evangelos Venizelos has arranged to meet with SYRIZA and main opposition leader Alexis Tsipras at 1pm on Monday.
The recent developments in national affairs will be at the top of the agenda. Mr. Venizelos had hinted towards a meeting with Mr. Tsipras last week.
Mr. Venizelos will inform the main opposition leader on the recent developments on Cyprus, particularly the surveys for hydrocarbons in the Cypriot EEZ.
SYRIZA MEP Dimitris Papadimoulis noted that the meeting is purely for foreign policy matters and given Alexis Tsipras’ upcoming trips and meetings estimated that the meeting was «institutionally necessary«.
