The Greek primary surplus has been found to be 2.65 billion euros in the first ten months of 2014, while the budgetary deficit was estimated to be 2.44 billion euros.

According to the official statistics published by the State Accounting Office, the primary surplus of 2.65 billion euros marked an improvement over the 2.59 billion euro surplus that was documented in the same ten-month period in 2013.

Similarly, the 2.44 billion euro deficit marks an improvement over the 2.95 billion euro deficit that was documented in 2013.
