An arsonist attack was carried out against the tax offices in Galatsi early on Friday morning, with the ensuing fire causing damages to building. Thanks to the timely response of the Fire Brigade though the fire was restricted to the tax offices and did not spread elsewhere.
It appears that that the arsonists placed an incendiary device in a basement room where files were stored in the tax office building. The Fire Brigade dispatched two vehicles and eight firefighters and managed to extinguish the blaze before spreading elsewhere.
