According to a report in Ta Nea, four recruitment notices are being prepared and will soon be published in order to hire 3,372 people for the country’s healthcare services.

The report notes that 2,500 positions in hospitals, healthcare centers and the emergency services will be covered by a community service program. The program will cover the recruitment of support, administrative, accounting, technical and nursing staff positions.

Furthermore, the State Accounting Office will soon approve a fund for the appointment of 370 permanent doctors. These appointment had been approved in 2011, but have not yet been implemented.

Additionally, the Deputy Minister of Health Leonidas Grigorakos revealed that a further 302 auxiliary medical staff members will be appointed at hospitals, on top of 498 which have already been recruited.

Finally, the report states that the Supreme Personnel Selection Council (ASEP) will soon receive plans for the recruitment of 200 rescue workers and ambulance crew members, as soon as the necessary administrative procedures have been completed.
