A Turkish Navy corvette entered Greek territorial waters on Tuesday morning, further straining the relations between the two neighboring countries.
According to the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (HNDGS) the Buyucada corvette entered the Kafireas Straits via the Xiros Gulf at about 3am.
The Turkish Navy vessel then followed a south southwesterly course and traveled between Kea and Kythnos. The Greek Navy followed and observed the corvette during its provocative foray into Greek waters.
