About 10,000 of Apple’s new mobile phones, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+, have been sold so far, ever since being launched in Greece on Friday, the 31st of October. Thousands of gadget-savvy customers lined up outside many stores, while a fair few devices were preorded up to a week before the official launch in Greece.

Market analysts expect retailers in Greece to sell about 50,000 of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus by the Christmas and New Year holiday season. This is rather impressive, since the entry-level versions of the latest iteration of Apple’s highly successful mobile phone being priced at 739 and 859 for the two mobile phones.

It also appears that new reports of the new phone suggesting that the new phone is prone to bending has not deterred shoppers. New shipments of the mobile phone are expected this week in order to cover demand. About eight out of ten shoppers have opted for the “smaller” iPhone 6, while many favored versions with a larger HD capacity, despite the heftier price tag.
