The University of Athens has launched its massive open online courses platform this month, where users will have free access to university courses, including key texts and notes, videos, podcasts and other interactive elements.
The library of the open online courses will gradually be expanded later in this month, with the university authorities hoping to make 500 academic courses available by September 2015.
Such platforms are widely available and used in education institutions abroad and aim to cover the needs of both students and the general public alike.
