The trial for the murder of rapper and activist Pavlos Fyssas by Golden Dawn member Giorgos Roupakias is expected to begin by the end of the year.

The murder of Fyssas prompted authorities to launch an investigation into the neo-Nazi party’s criminal activities. At present 78 party members and supporters, including most the party’s MPs, are currently facing criminal organization charges. During the investigations scores of evidence and witnesses came forward.

The Appeals Prosecutor Isidoros Dogiakos who has handled the case against the neo-Nazi party has prepared the case file and is expected to submit his proposal to the judicial council, paving the way for the trial.
