The Minister of Culture Konstantinos Tasoulas commented on Tuesday morning that the dirt-filled antechamber of the enigmatic Amphipolis tomb “supports the estimation” that it has not been looted.

Mr. Tasoulas, who made the comments on Mega Channel, opined that the tomb’s antechamber must been filled with dirt in order to protect it from looters, but noted that the archeologists working on-site will provide a definite answer.

Furthermore, Mr. Tasoulas stated that the revelations in Amphipolis are the good news “that the Greek people deserves”, while adding that the ancient Greek culture and history is a source of pride for the Greek people.
