The Ministry of Education has issued a new statement regarding the estimated 180,000 students who have been dubbed “eternal” for not completing their studies, claiming that it will expel them and not back down “for small political gains”.

According to the statement, the Ministry contacted students in 2007 and 2011, which it claims was ample time and stated that “this ridiculous situation” will end.

Additionally, the Ministry claims that its motive is to “restore the concept of a cycle of studies and to avoid a series of bureaucratic problems”.
