The Ministry of Growth and the National Confederation of Hellenic Commerce (ESEE) have announced that the Trade Watchdog will soon go online.

The creation of such a monitoring service has been a consistent demand from the trade sector, as it is expected to improve business activities and transparency by highlighting problems and providing relevant solutions.

The trade watchdog was designed by the ESEE in conjunction with the Ministry of Growth and the General Secretariat of Trade, as a joint venture with ICAP. The project includes a series of studies for the trade sector, electronic equipment and applications, as well as providing a microeconomic database for business samples.

The overall goal of the watchdog is to develop an online database of demographic, business and financial data for Greek enterprises, creating a map f retail trade in major cities and conducting studies and surveys in trade.
