Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is attending a four way Balkan summit this afternoon with the leaders of Bulgaria, Romania, and Serbia, in Bucharest, Romania.

Tsipras will join Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, whose country holds the rotating EU Presidency, Romanian PM Viorica Dancila (the first woman to hold that post), and Serbian President Aleksanadar Vucic.

The focus of the summit is the effort to coordinate the four countries in supporting the EU perspective of the Western Balkans, ahead of the EU-Western Balkans summit that is scheduled to take palace on 17 May in Sofia Bulgaria.

Cooperation in the sectors of infrastructure, energy, and transportation will also be on the agenda, ERT state television reported.

A one-hour four-way meeting will be held this afternoon and will be followed by a joint news conference.
A working dinner will follow.
