With only two weeks left until the critical general elections on the 20th of September, no safe bets can be placed on the winner, as the two main contenders SYRIZA and New Democracy are neck and neck in the polls.

In a survey carried out by Kapa Research for the Sunday edition of To Vima, when asked which party they would vote for if elections were carried out today, the respondents answered the following. In the parenthesis is the result from the previous poll.

Similarly, 39% support Evangelos Meimarakis’ position that New Democracy will provide the necessary political stability, with 54.8% disagreeing.
