The agony of thousands of students across Greece finally came to an end on Wednesday morning as the Ministry of Education published the university entry requirements for the new academic year.
As expected, there was a noticeable drop in the entry requirements for many schools and departments this year, primarily in regional universities. The drop in university departments with high demand was less noticeable.
While the subjects in this year’s Panhellenic exams in certain courses were considered difficult, the introduction of capital controls also appears to have influenced the entry requirements, as many candidates submitted their preferences based on proximity to their family and expenses.
