Thousands of university candidates are eagerly awaiting for the clock to show 10am on Wednesday, when the university entry requirements are scheduled to be announced, thus putting an end to their agony.

As reported previously, it seems that many departments will have lower entry requirements this year as a result of the difficult subjects in this year’s Panhellenic exams.

The drop in the entry requirements of regional university departments is expected to be greater than those in urban centers, as there is a greater restriction on transfers. The ongoing financial crisis has also resulted in candidates preferring departments near to where they live.

This year successful university candidates will be able to register electronically, via the Ministry of Education’s webpage. Enrollments are scheduled for the second half of September.
