The Police have carried out four arrests in relation to the tragic death of a 14-month-old infant on Tuesday, in a Roma Gypsy camp, located in Korivos of Ilia.
According to the Police, a minor appears to have entered a parked car and released the handbrake, which in turn caused the vehicle to roll over and mortally injure the infant. The child was rushed to the local hospital, but despite the efforts of the doctors and nurses, succumbed to its injuries.
The police arrested the minor, who was later released from custody. The other three arrested where the minor’s grandfather as well as the parents of the 14-month old infant for child neglect.
