Veteran New Democracy MP Dora Bakoyanni told Mega Channel that Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has two choices ahead of him, to either form a “special purpose government” or call elections.

Mrs. Bakoyanni explained that this “special purpose government” would last for two years and would not include Golden Dawn or Panagiotis Lafazanis. Should Mr. Tsipras decide against such a government, she estimated that “the Greek people will force it” via elections.

In case elections are called though, Mrs. Bakoyanni stated that «we will have lost, because [elections] have a huge cost and the Greek people will pay doubly”, while underlining her ‘disappointment’ in the present government.

She also commented on the SYRIZA-led government in relation to its internal problems and noted that “this surreal situation must end in August”.
