The Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis has stressed that the Commission is working hard to keep Greece within the Eurozone, in an interview for German newspaper Die Welt.
Mr. Dombrovskis appeared critical of the Greek government, claiming that an agreement was within reach and that Greece is in a worse situation due to the government decision last week.
He also claimed that it would be a mistake to assume that a ‘no’ outcome in Sunday’s referendum will strengthen the Greek government’s negotiating positing, arguing that the opposite will happen.
