A new teleconference between the Brussels Group and the Greek negotiation team has been arranged for Friday, in an effort to prepare the ground for Monday’s meeting in Brussels. Even though the meeting on Monday has not yet been finalized, it appears to be a given, since both sides are working towards a draft for a technical agreement.
Bloomberg has cited an unnamed European official who reported that the aim is for the composition of a technical agreement between Greece and the institutions to begin in the next few days. The same source also revealed that there more differences between the two sides, than what the IMF’s Poul Thomsen revealed at Thursday’s executive board meeting.
According to Bloomberg’s source, the differences on labor matters, pensions, fiscal policy and administrative reform still stand, while there is agreement on VAT, tax administration and bad loans.
