The Ano Chora II ferry boat reportedly crashed into the port of Igoumenitsa during the docking process, at about 10:45 on Wednesday. The ferry boat had departed from Kerkyra (Corfu).
As a result of the crash 11 passengers were injured, including six children and the two teachers who were accompanying them. One child, one woman and one elderly man who were hospitalized for further treatment.
The crash also caused damages to one bus and five cars that were parked on the pier.
