The European Commission is planning on significantly revising its forecasts downwards for growth in Greece in 2015, according to a statement EC Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis in the Sunday edition of Handelsblatt.

Mr. Dombrovskis explained that the initial forecasts suggested a 2.5% growth rate in 2015, but the European Commission has decided to revise its estimations, while expressing his concern, as the lack of liquidity is exacerbating the situation.

The European Commission is expected to publish its spring 2015 forecasts on the 5th of May.
