The police discovered over a kilo of cocaine and hundreds of pills in an apartment in Kolonos, after the Fire Brigade was called out to extinguish a fire on Sunday. According to the Fire Brigade, the fire is attributed to an arson attack.
After the fire was noticed, the Fire Brigade dispatched six fire fighters and two vehicles and managed to subdue and contain the blaze before it could spread and cause further damages to the apartment building.
During the investigation, police officers investigated the scene and discovered 1.1 kilos of cocaine, 700 narcotic pills, a handgun with two ammunition clips, ammunition and precision scales. The 43-year-old tenant from Kosovo has been arrested and taken for questioning.
