The Minster of State Nikos Pappas has reportedly met with American ambassador in Athens David Pearce at Maximos Mansion on Wednesday morning.
The Prime Minister’s diplomatic adviser Vangelis Kalpadakis was present in the discussion, on the legislative bill on prison reform, which may alter the holding conditions for convicted 17 November member Savvas Xiros.
Earlier this week the ambassador expressed the American frustration at the possible “release” of Xiros, who faces serious medical problems and is considered 98% disabled.
Xiros was convicted to 5 life time sentences and 25 years for his participation in 5 murders, robberies and explosions.
