Two stores belonging to the sister of Giorgos Roupakias, the self-confessed murderer of Pavlos Fyssas, were targeted by arsonists on Thursday evening, only three days before the highly-anticipated Golden Dawn trial is set to begin.

The arsonists used incendiary devices to cause minor damages to the two fish shops, which are located on Pentelis Avenue in Halandri and Filolaou Street in Pagrati. A gas canister was recovered from the device used in Halandri.

The trial set to begin at Korydallos on Monday has caused major reactions from local residents, who have arranged a demonstration in an effort to have proceedings transferred to a more suitable courthouse.
