The Minister of Finances Yanis Varoufakis is traveling for Washington, where he will represent Greece at the annual spring meeting of the International Monetary Fun and World Bank Group.

At 16:15 local time on Thursday, Mr. Varoufakis will attend the annual celebration of the Greek Independence at the White House, which US President Barack Obama is scheduled to attend.

Earlier, at 14:30, the Finance Minister will deliver a speech on the Greek economy and its international partners at the Brookings Institute. He is scheduled for a short discussion with Turkish economist Kemal Dervis and Director of the Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy David Wessel. German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble is also scheduled to deliver a speech the same day.

On Friday morning (10am) Mr. Varoufakis has arranged a meeting with the President of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi and in at the afternoon, at 16:30, he will meet his American counterpart US Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, while at 18:00 he will meet with his Italian counterpart Pier Carlo Padoan. Mr. Varoufakis will return to Athens on Saturday.
