The Deputy Minister of Growth Notis Mitarakis has departed for the USA, where he is scheduled to represent the Greek State and participate in the Concordia 2014 Annual Summit.

Also present at the Summit will be US Senator John McCain, who was the Republican presidential candidate in 2008 and the former President of Mexico Felipe Calderón.

On Wednesday, Mr. Mitarakis will visit the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, where he will be received by Archbishop Demetrios. Later in the day he is scheduled to meet with representatives of Greek diasporic communities and associations.

During his brief stay in the USA, the Deputy Minister will meet with foreign investors and will represent the coalition government and the second annual meeting of the Hellenic Initiative, which is scheduled for Thursday the 2nd of October.

The Hellenic Initiative, which was established in 2012, aims to generate interest for investments in Greece, which ultimately aim to provide financial relief for those affected the hardest by the financial crisis and to support entrepreneurship.
