The default of Russian tour operator Labirint has caused great concern to the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek Organization of Tourism (EOT), with Greek and Russian authorities being in touch.

With thousands of Russian tourists currently in Greece and many more expected as the summer season peaks in mid August, Greek hoteliers and tourist businesses are worried of the impact this may have.

The Ministry of Finances has underlined that Greece remains a safe and hospitable tourist destination for all visitors, while the association of tourist businesses (SETE) urges those contracted with the tour operator and its agents to continue providing their services as usual.
