The troika’s next progress review of the prior actions that Greece has committed to, will take place in Paris between the 3rd and 5th of September.
The Minister of Finances Gikas Hardouvelis will be accompanied by the Prime Minister’s consultant Stavros Papastavrou, the Minister of Labor Yannis Vroutsis and the Minister of Administrative Reform Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The French capital was chosen as it is considered “neutral ground”; France has a friendly attitude towards Greece and while being a core member of the EU, it faces its own share of political, financial and social problems.
Should further time needed for the review, the troika’s technical teams will visit Athens.
