The Ministers of Public Order and Justice, Vasilis Kikilias and Charalambos Athanasiou, met on Monday in order to discuss the creation of a “Type C” prison facility in Domokos.
According to the Ministry of Public Order’s press release, the two ministers discussed the prison operation, security and holding conditions, as well as measures to deter prison escapes. The two also discussed the need to recruit further police and prison officers, as well as the protection of suspects and minors.
Additionally, Mr. Kikilias and Mr. Athanasiou addressed the transfer of migrants, minors in particular, from the first reception centers to other accommodation centers.
