Supreme Court Prosecutor Efterpi Goutzamani has launched an investigation regarding a post on the website of the Special Forces Reserve Officer Community (KEED), at the request of Public Prosecutor Panagiota Fakou.
The controversial post calls for the current government to “resign immediately due to its inability to provide what is provided in the Constitution regarding employment, healthcare, education, Justice and security” to the people formation of a “national unity” government under the President of the Supreme Court, with the support of “recognized personalities” outside of politics and consultants from the Athens Academy. The author adds that the Armed Forces are the guarantor of the implementation of the above, “a powerful agent against any threat”.
KEED has announced a protest at Syntagma Square for Saturday the 28th of September in order to “restore our national sovereignty” and added that the Independent Military Officer Movement (AKIS) will attend.
