The Minister of Environment and Energy Panos Skourletis was highly critical of TAIPED president Stergios Pitsiorlas over the sale of DEI shares.
Mr. Skourletis challenged the announcement of Mr. Pitsiorlas’ regarding the sale of 17% of DEI in 2017, when the issues regarding ADMIE will have been clarified. The Energy Minister argued that the TAIPED president is not aware of government plans and as such should “stay put”.
Nevertheless, the government gazette issue 1472/25/5/2016 includes a decision from the Government Council of Financial Policy, which approves the TAIPED business plan and includes the sale of 17% of DEI shares.
The plan further details that the executive board of TAIPED must decide upon the overall sale strategy and hire consultants by the third semester of 2016.
