An unfortunate 27-year-old employee at the Hellenic Sugar Industry (EBZ) factory at Platy in Imathia was killed in an industrial accident on Thursday.
Preliminary reports state that the 27-year-old man was involved in cleaning operations with a number of colleagues in a processing unit at the Imathia factory.
The area has been cordoned off, while the local police department and the labor inspectorate have launched investigations into the causes of accident.
