The 2015/2016 Greek Football Cup formally begins today with the two games in the competition’s preliminary round – Agrotikos Asteras v Kallithea and Acharnaikos v Trikala. Kick off for both games has been set for 16:30, with the rematches scheduled for the 15th, 16th or 17th of September.

The four teams will fight for a spot in the group stage of the competition, where they will find 16 teams from the Super League and 14 from th Football League.

The Super League teams to participate this year are current cup holders Olympiacos, AEK, Asteras Tripolis, Atromitos, Iraklis, Kalloni, Levadiakos, Panathinaikos, Panetolikos, Panionios, Panthrakikos, PAOK, PAS Giannina, Platanias, Skoda Xanthe and Veria.

The Football League teams this year are Anagennisi Karditsas, Apollon Smyrnis, Chania, Ergotelis, Kerkyra, Kissamikos, Lamia, Larissa, Olympiacos Volou, Panachaiki, Panegialios, Panelefsiniakos, Panserraikos and Zakynthos.

The grand final of the Greek Cup is scheduled for the 23rd of April.
