The Prime Minister has carried out a cabinet reshuffle, in which the Left Platform members of his party have been replaced, after voting against the legislative bills regarding the new bailout agreement that is being negotiated.

Some of the appointments appear to be problematic, however the reshuffle indicates that the Prime Minister wants to complete the first review of the new program and then carry out further changes, perhaps form a national unity government, without however ruling out the possibility of elections at a later point.

The new cabinet members were sworn into office on Saturday morning, at the Presidential Mansion, before President Prokopis Pavlopoulos. The official handover ceremonies will take place on Monday. The new cabinet is as follows:
