The Minister of Health Panagiotis Kouroumplis appears to be angered at four pharmaceutical companies for indirectly contributing towards a medicine shortage in Greece.

Mr. Kouroumplis has alleged that the four companies in question supplied small quantities of specific medications in the Greek market in recent times and warned that he will impose harsh measures, should the practice continue.

The Health Minister will closely investigate pharmaceutical wholesalers who exported medication that was in short supply in the pharmacies and is geared towards banning the parallel export of 25 medicine products.
