The General Secretary of the Greek Communist Party Dimitris Koutsoumpas commend that irrespective of the outcome of the referendum on Sunday, there are no people-friendly solutions, since both sides agreed on upholding EU regulations.

Mr. Koutsoumpas called all those who voted ‘no’ on Sunday to not allow the Prime Minister to interpret the result as a ‘yes’ to a new bailout. He also called those “who voted ‘yes’ under pressure from employers and closed banks” to rethink their choices and to not turn to conservative beliefs.

The KKE leader warned the coalition government to not dare to take measures that will result in long-term bailouts and ultimately bankruptcy, while stressing that a possible departure from the Eurozone would first harm the most vulnerable sections of society.
