The parliamentary group of the Independent Greeks will convene at 14:30 on Tuesday, in order to debate the imminent agreement with the creditors and the harsh measures that will be implemented.

So far a number of party officers are troubled by the measures which the Greek government is called upon to implement, many of which are deemed to be recessionary. So far party leader and Minister of National Defense Panos Kammenos has expressed his opposition at the prospect of abolishing the reduced VAT rate on the islands.

The aim of today’s meeting is for the junior coalition government partner to discuss the proposed measures and decide upon a stance, should such an agreement be brought for approval in Parliament.
