A 28-year-old woman was tragically killed on Sunday afternoon, after a heated argument amongst four people in the Tsichleika area in Amaliada escalated.
According to the police, a 51-year-old man and his 28-year-old son visited the 28-year-old woman and her 31-year-old husband. During the argument, one of the two visitors pulled out a gun and began firing against the couple.
Both were seriously injured in the shooting, with the 28-year-old woman passing away shortly after being taken to the hospital in Pyrgos. Her 31-year-old husband has been taken for treatment to the hospital in Amaliada.
The police was mobilized and promptly arrested the 51-year-old and 28-year-old suspects. A third person was later arrested on Sunday afternoon, on suspicion of burying the weapon, about 500 meters away from where the shooting took place.
It has not yet been determined which of the two suspects who fired against the couple, nor what caused the argument in the first place, however police sources have suggested “personal differences”.
