The President of the European Council Donald Tusk argued that Greece has no more time to “gamble” and must soon take some serious decisions, ahead of the critical meeting of Eurozone Finance Ministers in Luxembourg next week.
Mr. Tusk, who met with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras earlier on Wednesday, further argued in a press conference that it clear that decisions were needed and not negotiations, stressing that that there is no more time for gambling.
On Friday, the Greek Minister of Finances Yanis Varoufakis responded to Mr. Tusk via Twitter, noting that “contrary to stubborn rumors”, the Greek government never gambled.
