The Minister of Health Panagiotis Kouroumplis argued that the creditor insistence on deregulating the sale of non-prescription medicine, paving the way for their sale via super-markets, is and “inexplicable obsession”.
In his interview on ANT1, the Health Minister clarified his belief that non-prescription medicine must be available via pharmacies and underlined that the government must convince the creditors on the matter.
Mr. Kouroumplis told ANT1 that “the creditors believe that they possess the one truth and that they have answers for all matters” and stressed that even in the case where policies did not perform as expected the creditors refuse to admit that they were wrong.
