The Ministry of Education has announced that applications by students wishing to transfer between institutions will be accepted between the 9th and 17th of October.
University students who wish to transfer to another institution will have to fulfill a set of income and family status criteria. The Ministry has also pointed out that the number of transfers cannot exceed 10% of the number of students accepted in each School or Department.
Applications will be submitted at the Ministry of Education’s web page.
The decision to expand the criteria for student transfers, in part due to student financial concerns related to the crisis, has caused controversy, with academics warning that regional institutions could be «cleared out» , while centralized institutions become swamped.
