The Appeal Council of Athens is expected to rule as to whether Golden Dawn MP Eleni Zaroulia will be detained, after that investigating judges and prosecutor could not agree on her penal treatment.

Zaroulia was recently summoned last week to submit a deposition in relation to the felony charge of joining and directing a criminal organization. The prosecutor Isidoros Dogiakos argued that Zaroulia should be detained, while investigating judges Ioanna Klapa and Maria Dimitropoulou argued that house arrest was sufficient.

The prosecutor suggested the detainment as he argued that the wife of detained neo-Nazi party leader Nikos Michaloliakos would likely commit further crimes if left free.
